[ Most of Aidou's time is spent either indoors hunched over a desk or here in the library searching the entire building for anything and everything that he can possibly use in his research on his blood tablets that he's brought with him from his world. In all honesty? It's a little difficult... ok, scratch that- it's REALLY DIFFICULT with the lack of everything from home here. But, as determined as he is to find an alternative for not only himself but any other vampires here for blood consumption, he doesn't give up and that's precisely why he's here in the library.

Carrying books.

A lot of books.

About two towers worth of books.

So it's honestly no surprise that he can't really see where he's going what with this wall of books obstructing his view and in about 3, 2, 1... he crashes. Right into a book case. So very smooth, Aidou, bravo.

Books tumble, the vampire screams, he gets shushed rather violently, and he stands there with the biggest frown ever on his face as he huffs then and begins to gather them all up one at a time, stacking them into another pile. Hopefully he didn't somehow lose any of those books he was taking with him and he begins to count them while collecting them back up. ]

[ If there's one thing that Aidou loves the most in the whole world, it's the peaceful and calming scent of lavender. Now, he's been told that lavender is available here in this world and so he's on a mission to find either bunches, oils, or even potpourri of the lovely scent for his place of residence here. Without it, it's just not the same and falling asleep can prove to be a little difficult. So, with a bit of money on him and a rather determined look on his face, he pushes the doors open to yet another shop, tinkling the bell overhead and puffs out a sigh as he exclaims ]

Hello! Do you happen to sell lavender here or know where I can get some?

[ Anyone? Anyone at all? He... wasn't lied to about there being lavender here... right? ]

[ With everything that's gone on since his arrival last month, Aidou hasn't had much time to really explore Verens here and so that's exactly what he's doing on this day in particular. Being so engrossed in his research and trying his best to keep himself out of Kuran/Kiryuu family drama, he's in the process of exploring various spots in Verens when he suddenly feels a sort of pang in his chest.

The last time he had popped any of his blood tablets into his mouth had been quite a few days ago and with having been so buried in his research, it's honestly no wonder he's forgotten to take them the other day... or even yesterday for that matter. Lucky for him, he still has a considerable amount on him until he's able to (hopefully) duplicate them here and so there's no need for worry or panic when it comes to the whole making sure he has blood thing. Still, it's better to nip this in the bud before he finds himself becoming a little too hungry.

Touching the front pocket of his jacket, he pauses when he realizes... it's not there... his blood tablets they're... gone?

Oh no. Oh no no no no no.

He couldn't have... he's never... did he lose them?

There's a brief moment of panic that comes over him, fingers clutching at his jacket and the windows of nearby shops begin to shake a little from the panic that settles in the vampire. He couldn't have lost them here- he had them with him before he left! So it's with a string of soft curses and the word no repeated over and over again under his breath that he quickly begins searching the streets, the sidewalks, even up in the trees because oh god where did they go he honestly needs those before this becomes a problem! ]

[ Her demand turns into a frown and a pout and she's left standing there when he walks past her, hand slowly lowering.]

I— I have manners. [Her words sound like more of a glower than a fact. She's also learned all kinds of things about being a vampire since the beginning! And so— hey, don't just walk away...!]

Two heads are better than one.

[Catching up to him she reaches out and grasps hold of the back of his shirt, before pulling up beside him. Whatever it is he's searching for, he seems concerned enough that it must not be something easily replaceable. Otherwise he's the type who would replace it immediately, rather than exert all this energy on something he can buy again. ]

Tell me what you're looking for, I'll help you find it.

[ Why does she have to go pulling on him like that? He practically stumbles back when she does but thankfully catches his footing just as she comes up beside him. Patting at his arm, he huffs a little before he glances away from Yuuki. It's not that he doesn't want help it's just... ridiculous that he somehow managed to either lose or misplace th-- no, he's misplaced them because losing blood tablets is just not something he ever does.

Sighing, he stops to pinch the bridge of his nose for a moment before he finally just says it ]

I can't find my blood tablets. I swear I had them with me before I left earlier and now I can't find them and I was...

[ He trails off there, eyes of blue slowly looking to Yuuki. Does he... need to say that he was about to take a couple so that he doesn't need to feed or can she just pick up on that on her own? Because he doesn't really want to say that and so hopefully she can easily clue in on that. ]

I must have dropped them or something.

[Oh. So it's that kind of thing. She can see his concern. Brown eyes widening, she lifts a hand up to her lips in concern. They have such a limited supply here, that losing them is bad. Maybe not right now, but in the future. Particularly if one or most of them were to disappear.

No wonder he's searching for them. Although in the end it isn't the be all end all, at least. Lifting a hand up she dances in front of him to speak in a conspiratorial whisper.]

Senpai, are you thirsty?

[Of course he's thirsty. He has that kind of feeling now. One she may not have recognized in the past, but it's something she can sympathize with in the present. Without any sort of decorum for her station and in complete innocence she continues on.]

If you're thirsty you can just drink some of my blood. You shouldn't waste your blood tablets if you don't have to.

[ Is she... did she just... she did. There's a look that comes over Aidou's features as he flat out stares to Yuuki for such a suggestion. Ignoring the whole he's from a different point in time than she is and knows things that she's not suppose to know apparently, there's the whole Kaname and Zero are here and one or both of them might kill him if he drank from her? Honestly, Yuuki! Does she never think before she speaks sometimes? ]

Wh-what? No, I'm fine... I just need to find my tablets. I... I also need them for my research, too.

[ And that's his cue to move around Yuuki with a soft flush to his cheeks, heart pounding in his chest as he continues on his search. How can she just so openly offer her blood to him like that, doesn't she know that's not something they do normally and what of Kaname and Zero- or even Ai? That's a whole other can of worms right there as well and ugh why does he know these people what has he done to deserve this sort of life will no one save him from this? ]

You shouldn't just offer your blood like that either.

[Is it such a strange thing, though? In the past he had drank her blood before.

Of course during that time she had been less happy about it. But this is different. The two have become friends since that time, and the last thing she's willing to do is let him starve. That point hasn't come just yet, but she wont let him get to it either.

Being thirsty for a vampire, she's realized, is one of the most painful things imaginable. With a frown she picks up her pace to catch back up to him, and falls in step beside him.]

I wouldn't just offer it to anyone. [Not really. It isn't as though she's putting up a for sale sign. She knows that much at least.] If it's you, then it's fine.

[Laughing faintly she lifts a hand up into the air, making a muscle to showcase her strength. There doesn't appear to be a lot of muscle, but that's just a deception when it comes to a vampire.]

The only thing I'm good at is having a lot of stamina. [ Mm! That's right. ] So you don't have to worry about me feeling faint or anything, just drink away! Besides, I get plenty of blood. [She's never even tasted the tablets before.]

[ So, does she seriously not hear herself as she says all of this? Apparently not. That, or, she doesn't see the supposed harm in what she's offering to him. It's just... everything is so complicated and it doesn't help that not a single one of them here is from the same point in time as someone else.

He sighs as he continues to walk, a hand touching his head for a moment before he stops to look down to Yuuki. After everything she's been through and that he and her have shared together, he doesn't consider her to be weak or that she would suddenly feel faint from giving up some of her blood. It's more that... she just doesn't think sometimes and goes more with what she feels which... it's not bad but it's not always good? ]

Have you forgotten how mad a certain pureblood has become in the past when I've drank from you? Not to mention that Kiryuu is also here and I'm pretty sure he'd try and shoot me if I started drinking from you weekly.

[ He puffs out another sigh, shaking his head, fingers tapping at his temple. ]

I don't even know what you're doing for blood but I can take a guess and probably be right in it.

[ To be fair when he drank from her in the past it had been under circumstances in which she hadn't given him permission to. In fact, he had been rather rude that day. So if he was punished, it was probably deserved. Although it makes her somewhat scared to picture her brother's quiet fury.

Maybe he permanently scared the noble? Such frightening power Kaname possesses.]

Zero wouldn't do that kind of thing.

[Not... any more at least, is what she should say. Because she remembers very clearly how he had tried to shoot on that first occasion. But he's made a lot of improvements. As for Kaname, well- she doesn't mention him because she can't honestly say how he would react to it. Other than to say...]

Kaname would not see you starve, either. [Of that she is certain. But when the conversation drifts back to her, she feels somewhat embarrassed. There are three individuals who have offered their blood to her. And whether it's right or wrong she... indulges in it all. This time it's her turn to blush, color warming her cheeks brightly. Her eyes glance away from him.]

. . . I'm not allowed the blood tablets, so any guess you'd come up with is the correct one. [What else is she supposed to do?] In a very spoiled manner I receive all manner of help. But that's why I think it's unfair if you should be left struggling, senpai. I won't allow that, either.

[ Honestly, it doesn't take a genius to know that she's getting blood from either Kaname or Zero or both. Then there's Ai who, well, she could also be a likely candidate for blood considering... who she is and all... wow, he's completely left out of the equation here, isn't he? Well, whatever! He has his blood tablets- or he will when he finds them again.

So, as much as he does appreciate Yuuki's offer to him, he shakes his head with a bit of a sigh; he knows she means well but things are still a little complicated for them all. ]

I'm not starving, I'm fine. I've just misplaced them... and if you stop trying to force your blood on me, maybe we can find them.

[ Gosh.

But, after a moment, he decides to ask ]

Has he told you you're not allowed to have the blood tablets here?

[ He being, well, it's a little obvious who he's referring to. ]

[Gosh he is being so stubborn about this. Her look mirrors that thought as she glances up to him. Of all the things to protest over, she hadn't thought she'd see the day where Aidou would reject her blood. Then again, he's never made an attempt for it since she became a vampire, though, either.]

. . . You'll still run out eventually. [Is all she'll say. Unless he can find a way to make more. But even then, she's heard they aren't very effective. After having lived on something so delicious since her transformation, she can't imagine going to an imitation of that.]

Anyway, there's no reason for me to, right...?

[Not when Kaname and Zero are here. So the need for them just isn't present.]

But if everyone was gone, I don't think he would be angry at me for using tablets. Rather than that, he'd want me to stay healthy and strong.

[ Kaname is an... extremely complicated topic for, well, any of them to have. The fact that Yuuki comes from his past- from all of their pasts just puts her in such a delicate sort of position that Aidou has to constantly be aware of just what he is and isn't saying to her. The same goes for Kaname, really. Luckily, Zero is someone he can at least not have to skirt around certain topics with and for that he's rather thankful.

Still, there's something about seeing Yuuki like this compared to how she is now from the point in time that he's from that has him... feeling things... perhaps a little more... protective in a way. ]

You know that you're free to make your own decisions, right? You don't need his permission for anything while you're here.

[ It's something that he admires of her back where he's from. How, despite the love that he figures she'll always feel towards the pureblood, she stands for what she believes in and doesn't waver much once her mind is set on it. Which, again, sometimes annoying but, in the end, he could only stand by her and even come to her aide when others thought her foolish. ]

[Everything has been complicated for some time now. Ever since Zero came back to this place while existing in her future. The things he's told her have turned her world upside down. There's been a lot of pain and denial and the inability to accept everything for the fear of tearing her heart apart.

To be honest she doesn't know what she's doing. It would take someone to be completely blind and naive not to realize that people are hiding things from her. She knows they are as clear as day but at the same time, she's equally afraid to ask. And so she's been in a stalemate. It's moments like this where she realizes the extent to which things have changed.

Once upon a time, Aidou would never have suggested she do something contrary to Kaname's wishes. This really is a first. Her surprise fades before a touch of appreciation replaces it.]

. . . Are you worried about me? [Quiet and warm. She asks even as she moves forward and gently locks an arm with his. Aidou- for however brash and difficult he may be from time to time really is a dear friend, isn't he? It relaxes her. Quiet and content her eyes close and she hums gently.] I'm so very grateful to you, Senpai. Thank you. [Truly. Knowing that somehow, amid all the upset and worry she has him by her side allows her to remain calm.]

I promise that if there is something I disagree with, then I'll do as I please, regardless of what oniisama says.

[The very real problem with their relationship is that she loves him so much it hurts. And she trusts him so little that she doesn't believe a word he says. It's a contradiction in their relationship that makes it seem an impossibility. She's just so frightened to let go.]

I love that person. [A quiet admission, one that doesn't even have to be said. She knows that Aidou is aware of it.] For some reason, sometimes my head gets so clouded with my feelings for him, that I can't think straight. It's as though he takes over my thoughts. [Obsession, love... she doesn't know what it is or why. Only that his presence can take over her mind like a spell.]

But I'm upset too. If I disagree with something, then I wont let it pass without comment. And I'll be careful to tend to myself as well.

[ To be perfectly honest, Aidou is in a similar boat that sails over the sea of Kaname. While not exactly a carbon copy of Yuuki's, it's similar enough where he can understand where it is that she's coming from, let alone what she feels in regards to the pureblood and it's precisely why he can't exactly fault her for any of it.

There had been a time when he completely disliked Kaname and wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. This, of course, was due to his own pride and the fact that he adored being the center of attention himself among his family and friends. But after awhile, after he really came to see a change in the pureblood after the death of his parents... he had perhaps fallen for him in a way he hasn't with any other vampire before and the overwhelming desire to protect him and see him happy was enough to sometimes drown him. With Yuuki, he figures it to be a little different with her own feelings towards him but, in the end, more or less being the same. Kaname just... had that way about him, truly mesmerizing in its own way.

So he doesn't exactly say much when she links her arm through his and goes on about the pureblood. He doesn't chide her for whatever it is she feels or how difficult she finds it to pull away from him. It had only been up until recently that he had been able to break away from that puppy-like infatuation with the pureblood himself and... even then... he still cares.

His lips quirk and there's a soft hum in the back of his throat as he moves forward a little, listening but also being on the lookout for his blood tablets and no he is not blushing at her being so close to him gosh. ]

You try to please others too much sometimes. [ He finally says, though not exactly looking down to Yuuki. ] It's not a bad thing, it's just... you forget to please yourself in the process. I'm just saying to not forget to do that. [ It's then that he looks down to Yuuki, eyes of blue serious but somehow also gentle at the same time. ] You can't make everyone happy and that's ok. It doesn't mean you care about them any less. It just means that sometimes there's only so much you can do.
