( GOTEN; trees and thangs )
[ A little ways out of the city and from everyone really, Trunks climbs his way up the tallest tree that he can find and makes his way pretty much right to the top. It's once he's found a rather sturdy branch that he throws his blanket over it and takes a seat across it, looking down to see how far Goten is from him since Trunks went up ahead first to make sure there weren't any monsters or anything that would cause them problems. ]

Hey, Goten! What's taking you so long?

[ Sheesh, talk about a slowpoke. He better not have found that nest of baby birds on the way up. ]



( ROKUROU; swords and thangs )
[ On the day that he and Rokurou are to meet for lunch and sword shopping, Trunks comes to gently touch down on the ground after flying his way over to their meeting location in Shaarnath, his backpack slung over his shoulder and a rather determined look on his face. Well, there's also a smile, because he's been looking forward to this but the name of this game is to find himself THE PERFECT SWORD and Rokurou has offered to help. Or was picked to help whether he wanted to or not. Kids or something.

Either way, when Trunks spots the other, he makes his way over and, reaching out, tugs on his pant leg much like he had done back when they did their sword training. ]

Hey, I brought water in case we get thirsty since it can be hot around here.

[ It's good to plan ahead after all. ]


( ZARKON; hunting and thangs )
[ This Herodotus creature sure sounds like it might be a bit of a challenge and what is it that Saiyans adore? A good fight and a good challenge, so of course Trunks signs himself up for this. Unfortunately one needs a partner for this but, so long as his partner can handle himself? He doesn't mind and it shows in the way he approaches Zarkon, coming to stand beside him. ]

You ready then? [ Tilting his head. ] You gonna take one of those flying bikes?

[ Since, well, Trunks doesn't need that or an airship. ]



( OPEN; just thangs )
[ Pretty much up until the player plot kicks into high gear, Trunks will be found around the market looking in various windows of shops, handing out more THE KNIGHTS OF THRAS posters, feeding animals under a bridge, even having lunch by himself on a bench with his papers and sword set aside. Feel free to bump into him wherever you'd like, if you'd like, he's a good kid who's just puttering around town. ]

[ To which he folds his arms across the top of Rokurou's head and smiles down to him. ]

You wouldn't be my friend if you were a bay guy, right? Bad guys don't like having friends. Just minions to do their bidding.

Because you're taking me to lunch and helping me get my sword.

[ And CLEARLY that's not something a bad guy would do, right? ]

[ And he smiles NICE AND BIG. ]

.......Okay, I'm fine with footing the bill on the lunch, the sword is supposed to be all you. [Just a poke to his knee.]

Yeah but... I'm a kid. I don't have any money.

[ Flawless counterattack. ]

You can still get a job off the task board. They don't usually have age limits and I've seen plenty of kids take them on.

[Flawless parry.]

[ Welp. You asked for it, Rokurou.

Trunks wraps his arms around the daemon's neck and hugs him tight as he wiggles his head against the other's. ]

Pleeeeeease? I'll pay you back, promise. Friends help each other out, right?

[rokubro]

Hrmngh—! [OH MY GOD WHY CHILDREN. He actually kind of chokes a little because Trunks, this is cute but the neck the neck! Also caught off guard because was not expecting a hug attack. So hands are just going to Trunks's arms to try to pull them away at least enough to breathe better.]

You really are—a little brat, you know that?

[And just going to bonk his head against Trunks.]

[ YOU ASKED FOR IT, ROKUROU??

Trunks lets his arms loosen just a teensy bit around that neck so as not to choke the daemon because, well, Trunks has a lot more strength than the average kid?? Yeah. But he still wiggles, still hugs, still whines. ]

So you'll do it then?

[Okay that's much better yes, thank you. Just giving him a bit of a side-eye...

Is this the real reason you wanted to look at swords with me and not someone else?

[ What a way to even insinuate that?? Huff. ]

You're the sword expert who has like a million swords, right? And we're friends and you gave me that lesson. Why would I want anyone else to come with me?

And you couldn't ask those you're living with for cash?

[ And... he smiles. ]

[ And he just... shakes Rokurou's hair a little. ]

Technically no, but was kind of wondering if I'm going to get into trouble with anyone in particular if they find out I bought you a sword.

[ He sees you caving, Rokurou. ]

No! I'm with the Knights of Thras, remember?

Fair enough.

[A small sigh before he resumes walking.]

Let's first see if we can even find you a sword. Then we'll figure out how you'll get it.

[ Well, that'll do? For now. But Trunks just smiles as he goes back to gently holding onto Rokurou's hair. ]

Hey, do you wanna join the Knights of Thras? You like Thras, right?

[rokubro]

[His hair is surprisingly soft for all that thick mess that it is. Enjoy it.]

The Knights of Thras, huh? [Hm...] I dunno, I don't think I'm really cut out to be a "knight."

[torankusu]

[ So soft and perfect to shake. Curiously, Trunks looks around that mop of hair to try and look to Rokurou's face. ]

Why not? Are you a prince, too?

[PFFTT HAHA. No really that gets a laugh.]

Not by a long shot. I just meant that you won't want a daemon like me in your ranks. [Especially since...ah ha. Certain things to come.] I'm more like a mercenary than a knight.

But that doesn't sound cool. The Mercenaries of Thras?

[ THE FACE he makes at such a name... ]
