( semi-open )
Who: Trunks and people (maybe you)
Where: Various places
When: middle of the month up until the player plot
Format: [ like this ]
semi-open
Summary: smol Trunks doing some things with people. some closed prompts with an open prompt.
( GOTEN; trees and thangs )
[ A little ways out of the city and from everyone really, Trunks climbs his way up the tallest tree that he can find and makes his way pretty much right to the top. It's once he's found a rather sturdy branch that he throws his blanket over it and takes a seat across it, looking down to see how far Goten is from him since Trunks went up ahead first to make sure there weren't any monsters or anything that would cause them problems. ]
Hey, Goten! What's taking you so long?
[ Sheesh, talk about a slowpoke. He better not have found that nest of baby birds on the way up. ]
( ROKUROU; swords and thangs )
[ On the day that he and Rokurou are to meet forlunch and sword shopping, Trunks comes to gently touch down on the ground after flying his way over to their meeting location in Shaarnath, his backpack slung over his shoulder and a rather determined look on his face. Well, there's also a smile, because he's been looking forward to this but the name of this game is to find himself THE PERFECT SWORD and Rokurou has offered to help. Or was picked to help whether he wanted to or not. Kids or something.
Either way, when Trunks spots the other, he makes his way over and, reaching out, tugs on his pant leg much like he had done back when they did their sword training. ]
Hey, I brought water in case we get thirsty since it can be hot around here.
[ It's good to plan ahead after all. ]
( ZARKON; hunting and thangs )
[ This Herodotus creature sure sounds like it might be a bit of a challenge and what is it that Saiyans adore? A good fight and a good challenge, so of course Trunks signs himself up for this. Unfortunately one needs a partner for this but, so long as his partner can handle himself? He doesn't mind and it shows in the way he approaches Zarkon, coming to stand beside him. ]
You ready then? [ Tilting his head. ] You gonna take one of those flying bikes?
[ Since, well, Trunks doesn't need that or an airship. ]
( OPEN; just thangs )
[ Pretty much up until the player plot kicks into high gear, Trunks will be found around the market looking in various windows of shops, handing out more THE KNIGHTS OF THRAS posters, feeding animals under a bridge, even having lunch by himself on a bench with his papers and sword set aside. Feel free to bump into him wherever you'd like, if you'd like, he's a good kid who's just puttering around town. ]

Thank you.
I suppose...the only consolation is knowing you’ll never have to live the life we have. Your future will be so much brigter. [Eveyone’s will] Maybe...maybe they’ll even have a chance to grow up too.

so you think MaiTrunks continues to look sadly to Mai before a rather serious expression takes over his face, Mai perhaps familiar with it on his future self. It's that determined look, that one which is near impossible to wipe off their face and shows just how strongly they care for others and are willing to do whatever it takes to protect them. It's that very same one as he looks to Mai and gives her hand another squeeze. ]
I want yours to be as well... same for him.
[ So maybe... maybe if they stay here, they can. ]
no subject
Let her believe, okay?][She did recognize the look. More than the young boy would know. Enough for her to relax. Squeeze his hand back. Nod in acknowledgement of his comfort attempts.]
We’ll just...have to keep hoping, then. [A short exhale, sounding close to a laugh, passed through her lips at that.] Hope. You were...always so good at giving us that, Trunks...
...or, I suppose I should say, you will be.
no subject
Stay right here, ok?
no subject
Alright.

He's not gone for very long, a minute at the most, and when he returns to Mai, he's holding a rather large sunflower in his hand which he holds out for Mai as he gently floats his way down to her. ]
My mom and grandma like flowers and they always seem to make them smile so maybe it will do the same for you.

[It was for that reason she was so taken aback when the younger returned with a...flower. A sunflower. Hardly a rose or tulip or one of those fancier flowers that carried any symbolic meaning. But...it was still significant. And sweet. Really, really sweet.]
T...runks... [Mouth slightly agape, she accepted the gift. Staring at its bright petals for a long moment before her face broke into a warm smile.] It’s beautiful. I love it.
no subject
Uh, just be sure to put it in water and stuff or else it will die.
no subject
I will.
I’ll even keep it by the window so it gets enough sunlight.
no subject
A-ah, yeah... you... you need sunlight for them, too. A huh...
no subject
They are called “sun”flowers, after all.
[She rose from her seat, only to bend down and help him collect the posters.]
Here, let me help.
[Since it was technically her fault.]
no subject
Th-thanks...
[ Scratching at his cheek... ]
Um, what are you doing here anyway? You just came by yourself?
[ Is his future self somewhere around here?? ]

[Trunks the elder had already managed to get her a few basics the first night; she’d taken a bath and came out to find a pair of clean pajamas and toiletries and a few other odds and ends. Enough to last her while she properly settled in. Figured out what else she would need...and how much it would cost.]
It’s just...been a while. Since I’ve seen so much of it at once. If I didn’t know what a Saiyan’s appetite could be like, I’d worry I got too much.
no subject
I don't think it's ever possible to have too much food.
[ Not as long as you live with a Saiyan, that is. ]
Uh... does this mean you can cook and stuff?
no subject
I think so. I’m certainly going to try.
no subject
[ Says the one who's never cooked a day in his little young life. ]
no subject
The basics aren’t so difficult. Roasting meats. Boiling plants. That sort of thing. [Survival cooking, then.]. It’s when you start adding more and more ingredients together and expect a certain flavor that things get tricky.
no subject
Well, if you need someone to be your taste tester, I don't mind.
no subject
If your mother doesn't mind me stealing you away from her kitchen...then sure. You can come over for lunch whenever you like.
