[ That kiss to his cheek, while so simple and meaning nothing more than friendship between them, causes something within Riku to stir... something possessive and there's a sudden warmth that fills the room that is enveloping and delightful at first but slowly seems to become thick and heavy. ]

You look stupid with that grin on your face.

[ And he doesn't even think twice about leaning in so close to Sora, nor how warm the air suddenly feels around them as he looks down to Sora through that blindfold that shields those blue-green eyes from the world. ]

I like it better when you smile.

[Sora can feel that warmth since it's so much different from a second before. It's inviting and makes his head feel lighter. He stares up at Riku with wide eyes and wonders for a second just what is going through Riku's head. If only he could see Riku's eyes then maybe he could figure it out, but...

He tries not to grin as much, his lips twitching awkwardly as he tries to settle down. It's hard and that action itself makes him let out a puff of soft laughter.]

Same goes for you, then.

[His hand reaches up to touch some of Riku's hair hanging down and then to his cheek. ... and then to boop Riku's nose with his finger. Meeeep.]

[ What a brat. ]

Tch.

[ That's all Riku gives in the moment before he comes to flop himself back down against the mattress, flat on his back, gaze directed up at the ceiling. Or, well, "ceiling" you could say. ]

When it's Halloween and Christmas, you know, if they have that kinda stuff here... you gonna help me decorate this place?

[Sora rolls to his side and tucks an arm behind his head. That question sort of surprises Sora because it implies that Riku thinks he might be here for next winter and something about that makes him... kinda really happy.

Maybe because Sora's been in this world for so long he's gotten so used to it? But being able to share those holidays with Riku again would really be something special to him.]

There's no actual Halloween but so many worlds have Christmas that celebrations and parties pop up.

[Parties being... Sora threw the biggest one in the city last year............]

I miss Halloween!!

I'm surprised you haven't brought the tradition here.

[ Knowing how excited and full of enthusiasm Sora can get over the things (and people) he likes. ]

Or is that something you're planning to do this year?

[ Coming to look to Sora beside him, he shifts so that he can drape an arm over the other and pull him close, looking to him through that blindfold with half-lidded eyes... even if Sora can't see them. ]

Should I buy candy to give to you even if no one else hands any out?

Well, there's Helisium! And everyone gets to dress up for that one. But maybe I should have a Halloween party this year instead of a Christmas one...

[The cogs are already turning about all the different tricks he could pull on people... Sora gets a devious expression and even snickers a little.

When Riku drapes over him Sora contently snuggles a bit closer. He finds it a little funny how this has become a default for them lately. But Sora always feels so content when it happens. To be close like this to Riku... It's like things never changed.]

Is it gonna be chocolate? You should always buy me candy, even not for Halloween.

[Don't actually spoil him like that, Riku. He's testing.]

First strawberry tarts and now candy? You really are going to roll away from me, huh?

[ Teasing, it's hard for Riku to not smile at that and he tucks Sora under him a little better, chin dropping to rest at the top of Sora's head... and maybe holding him a little tightly so as not to get smacked or something for that teasing remark. ]

[Good on Riku for trying to preemptively deflect Sora because he sure does try to hit him. It comes out as more of a pat-pat on Riku's side than anything.]

N-no! I'll be fine! I'm skinnier than you!

[... He's not sure if that's a good thing or not. Either way, he has a separate stomach for sweets, so there.]

[ That pat-pat just makes Riku chuckle a little more deep in the back of his throat before he comes to press his cheek to Sora's head instead, looking down to the other the best he came from this angle. ]

You know, it wouldn't hurt you to build some muscle on those noodle arms of yours.

[ And to, once again, cause distraction from being smacked or something by the other, Riku dips his head down to gently - very gently - nip at the shell of Sora's ear. ]

But it's fine. I like you the way you are.

[Sora, of course, falls right for it. His annoyance at being accused of having noodle arms sparks!]

I can cut buildings in half what more do you w-ahhhh-

[But that shift and touch to his ear has his brain screeching to a halt. Sora lets out a strange noise and can't control the ticklish shiver he gets down his spine.]

Riku-! Don't!

[ Oh yeah, that's exactly what he had been expecting for a reaction... and it only fuels Riku on. ]

Don't?

[ Why, that sounds like a challenge there, Sora, and you know how Riku feels about challenges. ]

Alright, so then would you rather... this?

[ Annnnnnnnnd there he goes slipping a hand under Sora's shirt and tickling him at his side again, smiling and oh-so-smug as he does so. ]

Ahh--Ahhh!!!

[No- not more tickling! This is even worse than before because Riku's fingers are against his skin and Sora lets out a breathless laugh and squirms to fight against Riku's fingers. His cheeks flare up with a bright blush and his body physically heats up and it's just-- too much!!]

Rrrr---Riku!!

[And honestly, he'd been about three seconds away from biting Riku to make him stop but he catches sight of that smile (as smug as it is..........) and Sora just melts more, hands reaching to grip onto Riku's sleeve and tugging.]

[ To be like this with Sora... it reminds him of simpler days. Days when it was just them. No darkness, no keyblades, no expectations, no doors... just them... and the island which he had grown to dislike so much that he wanted nothing more than to run away from it.

And while those thoughts quietly threaten to push themselves to the forefront of his mind, to remind him, yet again, how he's messed everything up, how he's betrayed this very person squirming and laughing and as red as a tomato under his tickling fingers... Riku doesn't allow them to consume him. How can he when Sora is screaming and flailing like this?

But it's tempting. Oh, is it ever tempting.

Instead, Riku comes to push Sora back against the bed, keeping him there and hovers over him as fingers still continue to tickle their way along soft skin. They do stop, however, strands of silver cascading down over his shoulder as he looks down to the other through his blindfold, catching a bit of breath himself from the laughter that spilled from his own lips at Sora's dramatic reaction... still and quiet... just breathing and looking down to him.

Slowly, he smiles a little. And there's something about the way he leans in a little, the way he brings his other hand up to gently touch at Sora's cheek, something gentle, almost hesitant and unsure, before he finally says what's on his mind... ]

Like I said... noodle arms.

[ Annnnd he squeezes Sora's lips together with his fingers then, laughing. ]

[When Riku finally stops tickling him, those fingers slowing over his skin, Sora still shifts and laughs softly. It takes a moment for Sora to try and stop laughing as the joy and annoyance of having been tickled still make him squirm. Then he looks up at Riku who's come so close and he can't stop the smile that he gets pulling on his lips and the feeling of his heart thumping happily at seeing Riku ... Just like this.

It's simple, it's easy-- To be wrapped up with his best friend just like this. It's like when they were little and Sora would sneak into Riku's bed after a nightmare and Riku would just tickle him mercilessly until he couldn't even remember what he had a nightmare about.

Sora's fingers grip the fabric of Riku's sleeve as if he wants to keep Riku here just like this for as long as he can-- and then---]

Ahppffftttt!!

[Riku is ... Riku.

Sora doesn't hesitate in grabbing Riku's offending hand, pulling his face away with a loud gasp and then chomping down hard on Riku's hand.]

[ Well that's not exactly what he had been expecting to have happen? and there's a very loud OW!! that comes from Riku when those teeth sink into his skin, followed by a yank of his hand and Riku rolling away from Sora on the mattress.

Cause no, this is not a bed by any means. ]

Tch! What'd you do that for? I'm bleeding now.

[ Riku sits up and sucks at his hand where Sora bit him, a scowl on his face as he makes sure to be looking away from the apparent vampire he has here on his mattress with him. ]

[Sitting up, Sora wipes his lip with the back of his hand and pouts fiercely while also looking up and away from Riku as well.]

For teasing me.

[Riku, you know what you did! He doesn't have noodle arms! He's strong now too!]

[ Coming to glance to Sora out of the corner of his eye, Riku still gently sucks on the part of his hand that had been attacked by vicious Sora teeth, noting that, yeah, Sora is in full on pout mode. ]

Doesn't mean you had to bite me.

[ Geez, Sora. However, Riku reaches for the box of tarts and sets them down between them on the mattress, still sucking on his hand as he does so. ]

You can have the rest, ok?

[Sora glances at Riku but quickly glances away. There's no way he's saying sorry for biting Riku! At least not right this instant.]

Okay. [Still easily placated with sweets-- He turns to take one out and nibbles on it.]

Riku, are you staying here tonight?

[ Pulling his hand away from his mouth to look at the imprint of teeth on his skin (wow, Sora, why'd you have to bite so hard???), Riku glances over to the little sweet-toothed vampire out of the corner of his eye. ]

I don't know. Why? You want to?

[Riku's gonna have that mark on his hand for a while. Sora just continues to nibble on his treat even when he glances at Riku again. But there is a slight wince when he sees the damage he did--! No! Not saying sorry!]

Yeah, like a housewarming sleepover. [He grins sheepishly.]

[ There's just one problem with this Sora... he doesn't have any bed sheets. Or a pillow. He doesn't even have a bed. It's just a mattress. On the floor. Without any sheets or pillows. ]

Aren't you forgetting something?

[ To which he holds his hand out over the mattress. But... is he implying that you bit him hard and so why should he let you stay over? OR is he trying to show that hello, he has no sheets or pillows?

Which one could it be... ]

[Riku why]

Riku...!

[And he can just see that bite mark more now and he frowns! He wants to stay over!]

It was just a bite, you're fine! [Sort of-

And yes, that's what Sora picks out.]

[ Silence. Dead silence as he stares to Sora. After what must certainly feel like forever, he pushes his blindfold up a little with a thumb, looks down to his hand and, yep, those sure are teeth marks imprinted on his skin. ]

I hope this isn't how you give hickeys.

[ To which he pulls his thumb away from the blindfold, allowing it to fall in place again before he sighs and rests his hands in his lap. ]

Don't actually answer that. I don't want to know.

[ Is he getting moody now at the thought? Maybe... ]

What- I don't know h-how--

[RIKU WHY. Literally just thinking himself into a bad mood in three seconds flat. It's almost a record time.

Sora has to think fast and that means quickly swallowing the last bite of his tart and then scooting to Riku reaching out and hugging him and burying his face into Riku's neck.]

Quit that. I'm sorry about biting you. Stop thinking weird things. [Sora's whining a little. He's sorry!] Today is you and me, okay!
