[ Once Riku has caught up to speed with everything that's happened since his impromptu journey to Shaarnath (that lasted much longer than he originally anticipated), Velvet is a person on his list of someone to seek out. They've spoken a grand total of two times: one over the amulets and another in person at Helisium. While their interactions with one another haven't exactly held much strife, there's a curiosity there, a darkness which Riku can sense on her which could be part of the reason why he's here, emerging from the shadows within the prison as if he simply stepped through them as one would a door. ]

Guess you must be pretty pissed.

[ He says that with crossed arms, leaning against the wall, not entirely looking to Velvet. ]

[ Seeing as how Riku doesn't seem to come through normal visiting procedures, he catches Velvet at that one moment when she isn't expecting any guests whatsoever. Which means she's laying back on the bed provided, staring out the tiny window in her room - casually watching the clouds float by. There's a familiar sense, someone looking at her or perhaps she even picks up on the darkness that Riku emits that causes her to look over towards the cell door just before the teen speaks up.

With a sigh, she sits up. ]

Hm, not really. More annoyed with so many people coming by to ask me why.

[ And it's true, Velvet isn't pissed at the fact that her plan to "kill" an Arehtei failed so spectacularly. ]

Must be a dime a dozen.

[ He glances over to her then, arms still crossed, gaze drifting to the window she has in her cell for a moment. ]

Guess I missed out on all of it.

[ What with his being in Shaarnath for as long as he had been. Although, maybe it's for the best that he wasn't around considering his innate use of the darkness. ]

Maybe next time.

[ He mutters that part a little softly before he glances away again, still leaning against the wall. ]

I'm guessing, even without getting whatever it is you wanted, you learned something from it you didn't know before?

They act as if I owe them an answer for my actions.

[ She caused chaos, that's what she does. Honestly, it's a bunch of strangers coming to her cell with questions and Velvet feels no obligation to answer any of them. Most won't understand her reasoning anyway.

For Velvet, this cell is pretty posh in comparison to the last one she was in. A mattress for the bed, a window for sunlight and no one throwing monsters in on the regular. So she's not putting up much of a fuss about it. ]

Maybe next time.

[ A hint that she doesn't intend to let this stop her, maybe? ]

I don't expect change to happen overnight or even in just the course of a few days. Even discovering the truth is not so easy to obtain.

[ He wouldn't put it past her to try again, if he's completely honest. She just doesn't strike him as the 'giving up easy' type. ]

I hear it's pretty bad right now. That the natives of this world aren't taking too kindly to us.

[ He hasn't seen much of it firsthand just yet, but he's heard the mumblings and distress over the amulets and from others. ]

[ The next time she tries something, it won't be so close to Verens. Mostly because the Arehtei didn't stick around. ]

Funny, isn't it? [ Velvet doesn't sound that amused. ] So many people came to stop a handful of people and the natives decide to blame all of you as well.

[ Obi-Wan told her about the unrest with the natives and her guards certainly aren't all that happy with her. ]
